Photo notes for where things are

Stop explaining where things are. Send a wiit.

A wiit is a photo of where something is, with a name. The keys to the storage room, the water shut-off valve, the notebook you left somewhere. Make one, send it, and they stop asking. No account. No subscription. Ever.

What people use it for

Things you only look for when you are in a hurry

The storage room keys

Not "somewhere in the hallway": a photo of the actual drawer, with the street the photo was taken in.

The flat you rent out

One space holding the wifi, the boiler and the bin days. Send the guest a link that expires after their stay.

The water shut-off valve

Mark it as an emergency and it comes first, everywhere. Whoever is looking after the house can find it without phoning you.

Someone new on the team

Where the stock is, where the keys live, where the fuse box hides. Share the space once instead of explaining it four times.

How it works

Three steps, and the street comes free

Creating a wiit: a photo and a name, the street read from the photo

Take the photo

From the camera, or share one you already took straight from Photos.

A wiit: photo, name, urgent badge, where it is, and the map

Give it a name

wiit reads the street off the photo itself. You add the part only you know: "third drawer down".

Send it in a link: the finished link with its six-character code

Find it, or send it

Search by name, place or tag. Or turn it into a link with a six-character code.

Privacy

The server cannot read your wiits

When you share something it is encrypted on your iPhone before it leaves. It is decrypted in the browser of whoever opens the link, with a six-character code that never reaches us. What we hold are blocks we have no key to.

The rest never leaves the phone at all: your wiits live on the device and sync through your own iCloud. There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no analytics watching you.

No app, no account: the shared page open in a browser on a Mac

Shared links expire on their own, and you can pull one back whenever you want. Read the full privacy policy.

Beyond Pro

Need more than that?

Pro covers a home, a workshop, a couple of rentals. If you run something bigger (a hotel, a whole fleet, a building full of rooms) and ten links fall short, write and tell us what you are trying to solve.
